Ming Yang is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering, University of New Orleans, New Orleans. He received the B.S. degree from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 1997, and M.S. degree from the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IAAS), Beijing, China, in 2000, both in Electrical Engineering.

From Oct. 1996 to Oct. 2000, he was a research assistant in the Speech & Communication Laboratory, IAAS. His research was mainly on speech recognition, speech synthesis, speech coding and communications, including algorithm development and DSP real-time implement. From Nov. 2000 to Jun. 2001, he continued his research at the school of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Since Aug. 2001 he has been a research assistant in University of New Orleans. His current work area is data fusion and its applications on communications.
