Mission

The mission of the Department of Electrical Engineering is to provide affordable, quality undergraduate and graduate education in the areas of electrical and computer engineering.  In order to support the urban mission of the University, the emphasis in the undergraduate program is in serving both the traditional and non-traditional student in the New Orleans and surrounding regions.

The department has a strong commitment to academic scholarship and encourages faculty to participate in the Master's and Ph.D. level programs in the College of Engineering and to perform research with graduate students.
